By running the program EXE file.

Access it via the Start menu, or by navigating to the sentry3.exe file and double-clicking it.   Unless the option "start in the system tray" is turned on, the screen will lock automatically.

Sentry can be made to run on Windows Startup, under the "General" tab in options.

By having SentryLaunch as your default Screen Saver.

If your computer is idle and SentryLaunch is set up as your default Screen Saver, Windows will automatically start Sentry after your computer is idle for the amount of time specified in the

When Sentry is running, but not locked down (in the tray)....

Double-clicking the Sentry tray icon.

Right-clicking the Sentry tray icon and choosing Launch Sentry.

Hitting the Sentry hotkey.  By default, this is Ctrl-Alt-S.

Insertion of a USB flash-drive that is set up to auto-lock.   See Using Sentry with a USB flash drive.

Remote lock.  This can be done by the Sentry Manager, or by accessing the URL:

http://IPADDRESS:8777/unlock?s_username=ADMINUSERNAME&s_password=ADMINPASSWORD

where IPADDRESS is the IP address or hostname of the computer to lock,
where ADMINUSERNAME is the username of an admin account,
and where ADMINPASSWORD is the associated password.

The option Accept remote HTTP commands must enabled on the target-machine (Options > Network), and the IP address of the remote-locker must be in the allowable IP address range configured on the target machine.
